How did you first get into DJing, and what drew you to the art form?

When I was 14, my mom dropped me off at an Excision show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

What’s the most challenging aspect of DJing for you?

All of the hours spent downloading music and how to practice spinning on the decks and gearing up to prepare me to be on stage.

What’s your go-to technique when feeling stuck or uninspired?

I usually open up SoundCloud, type in a song I like, and start scrolling through random songs that come up after it.

Do you have any other artistic talents outside of DJing?

Rapping and songwriting

How has your style evolved as a DJ?

I’ve gotten into more house music as I’ve gotten older, which mixes up my genres.

If you could perform with any celebrity as a DJ, who would it be?

Shaq

How do you prepare mentally and physically before DJing a set?

I’m not going to lie; I’d like to crack a nice ice-cold beer and then hype myself up by jamming loud dubstep on the car ride to the show.

Who are some DJs that inspire you?

I like Zeds Dead, Slander, and Ganja White Night. I would often mash up those three styles when I was on stage.

If you could perform in any location in the world, where would it be?

The Redeemer statue is at the base of Christ, Mount Corcovado, Brazil.

What’s the most unusual or unexpected venue you’ve ever performed at as a DJ?

The Wheel of Misfortune; A giant circle in the middle of the desert spray-painted to look like the wheel of fortune. It’s located in Henderson, NV.
